No one has won more live poker tournament titles in 2021 than Ali Imsirovic. The 26-year-old Bosnian-born professional poker player secured his fifth win of the year in the early hours of Friday May 30. Imsirovic cleared the field with 77 total entries to win Venetian High Roller $ 10, 11 buy-in no-limit hold'em event earning $ 200, 200 as champion. He now has $1,796,210 in tournament earnings since the beginning of the year, bringing his career total to $23.2 million.

Imsirovic has reached ten final tables so far in 2021, meaning he has managed to secure the title 50 percent of the time he has reached the final table. As a result of his incredible performance in this year's high-stakes tournaments, Imsirovic is a top contender for numerous performance-based accolades. He scored 420 Card player Player of the Year scores as champion, advancing to third place in 2021 POY race rankings sponsored by Global Poker as a result.

This event is included in the inaugural PokerGO Tour and the added Imsirovic 200 points to his score after this latest win. He currently sits atop the PokerGO Tour leaderboard, which tracks the performance of high-stakes tournaments with buy-ins of $ 10, 11 or higher, with more than 100 events expected to qualify by the end of the year.

Shorr was next out when he lost a big confrontation to Imsirovic, who flopped a set of fives in a 3-bet pot. Imsirovic checked and Shorr continued to raise his AQ, 3-betting pre-flop, and Imsirovic called. The table parried on the turn, giving Imsirovic a full house. Both players checked and there were possible flush and gutshot draws on the river on the flop. Imsirovic moved all-in under Shorr's cover. Shorr made the hero call with ace high, only to get the bad news that he crashed into a boat. He cashed in for $ 77,000 as fourth place.

Kyung Min Lee's run in the event ended when his 14th 9 did not improve compared to A 3 Daniels. Lee earned $ 100,100 for his third place finish while Daniels took the lead in the one-on-one game.

Imsirovic was able to regain his chip lead quickly and soon took a sizable lead. On the last hand, Daniels moved all in for 1,515,11 from the 40,000 blind button - 80, 11 and 40,000 ante in the big blind. Imsirovic called with 7 7 and overtook Daniels' K 5 .
