The National Football League planned to hold the 2020 Draft on the Las Vegas Strip, but COVID – The 19th pandemic forced the league to abandon this idea.
However, in 2022, the League will revive the 2020 proposal and bring the project back to Las Vegas Boulevard. It will include the 2022 draft NFL April 28 – 30 on the Strip.
The initial plan, which ended in a virtual draft, was to maintain actual submersion in the water at the Bellagio Fountains. The league would transport players to the floating stage by boat, and interactive experiences would be scattered throughout other casino facilities. The event was expected to bring 400,000 people to the city.
But details are still missing in 2022 celebrations.
According to the report CBS Sports, members of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority were at this year's project in Cleveland to take notes on how it was conducted. LVCVA will include ideas from both 2020 and 2021 NFL Draft.
The 2022 Pro Bowl will also be held in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. Although the franchise played its first season in Sin City last year, fans were not allowed in the stadium due to COVID – 19 restrictions. The upcoming season will likely be the first year the team plays home games in front of fans since moving from Oakland.
