The final day started with 10 remaining players and Hawkins in the lead. He won Billy Scheer in fifth place ($13,287) to enter the four-handed action in second place behind Steven McKoy. He then scored a double knockout when his 8 defeated J8 Mark Rakoff and a couple of Baumstein Fridays. There was no K on the board44BEHIND10to secure a pot for Hawkins. Rakoff was the shortest of the two players with very small stacks and finished fourth for a $18,100. Baumstein earned $13,320 as a third-place finisher.
Maurice took around 2.5 million to play one-on-one against McKoy, who was 2.2 million. The two played briefly before agreeing to the deal that led to the end of the event, and Hawkins secured the title.
