US Poker Open returns for 2021 after leaving the year due COVID-19 pandemic. The high-stakes live poker tournament series will begin June 3rd - 15th at PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There are 12 events scheduled, with buy-ins ranging from $ 10,000 to $ 50,000.
2021 USPO will be part of a recently settled PokerGO Tour. All 12 tournaments offered during the series will award ranking points based on the number of players for which players will win cash. With 22 qualifying events in the books so far in 2021, Ali Imsirovic currently sits at the top of the PokerGO Tour leaderboard with 1.145 points, 10, four titles and $ 1, 659, 0-10 in earnings.
The scoring system will also be used to determine the winner US Poker Open Championship. This player- for the prize in the series we will get $ 50,000 in additional cash prizes and a new "Golden Eagle Trophy".
Seven of the twelve tournaments on offer feature traditional no-limit hold'em games, and the remaining five tournaments feature a range of other games, including pot-limit Omaha, big mix bet format, eight game format, and short deck. The first eleven events will feature a double re-entry, with a single re-entry in the $ 50,000 buy-in no-limit hold'em event that will complete the series.
This will mark the third launch USPO . Whoever wins the trophy this year will join the short but elite roster of champions. Stephen Chidwick won the first ever USPO in February 2018, cash in on five of the eight events on offer. He took victories in two of these events, earning 1.$, 256, 600 over the entire series. Latest USPO took place in winter 2019. David Peters cashed a total of 1 $, 584,000 Over 10 this year, winning the last competition of the series to secure the trophy with a final lead of 10 ranking points.
As in previous years, each event's final table will be streamed live OTT service PokerGO, with broadcasts starting at 4:00 am Eastern Everyday throughout the series.
