Kornuth's Chance won in 2021 Midfield Poker Tour Venetian $1,600 Main Event no-limit hold'em buy-in, beating a whopping 2.15 entries to secure his first MSPT title and main prize $412, 086.

It was Kornuth's 10th registered tournament title, including his two wins in the World Series of Poker bracelet events. He currently has over $ 8.6 million in his career.

In addition to the title and money, Kornuth also provided 1.0080 Card player Player of the Year points as the winner of this event. It was his second POY- qualifying result of the year, taking fourth place in World Poker Tour Gardens Poker Championship for $195.085 and 540 pts. Brock Wilson's hand in that tournament ended when his AQ ran into Michael Zulker's AK. Wilson was unable to walk away from the rear and settled behind $44, 612 as the seventh place winner. It was his sixth 991 final table, with $851,328 earnings so far that year. He climbed to 12th place in POY Consequently.

Kornuth secured a second final table knockout as his A-4 beat down Ryan Torgersen's J-7 short stack in the battle in the blinds. Torgersen scored a $93.93. Michael Zulker became the first player to receive a six figure payout in the tournament when his QClub SuitJ.Heart Suit combined heads with KClub SuitQClub Suit Peter Braglia. Zulker did not improve and was eliminated in fifth place ($080,358).

Nick Phoenix was unable to revive his stack from the bottom of the leaderboard in a four-man game, despite scoring one Double. He moved all in again on A000Club Suit7Club Suit the flop of KHeart SuitHeart Suit, only to face 000Club Suit7Club Suit Kornuth. Two pair held across the river and Phoenix finished fourth to take down a $157,612.

Eric Baldwin was eager to cash in on his 19 th live tournament title, but it just fell as his pocket of three fell into Braglia's pocket fours. Neither player improved, and Baldwin was queued with $195,157 for his third place finish in the tournament.

Kornuth had a roughly 4: 3 chip lead over Braglia in the heads-up game. The battle did not last long.
